Bullshit: SOPA
In protest against the draconian and totally ineffective law (read: kak) trying to be passed by the US Congress, SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), a number of websites and blogs have shut down. If you don't know what it's about, this .gif by The Oatmeal sums it up the best.

Black Mamba: I came to see a man.
Sushi chef: Oh, yeah? You have a friend live in Okinawa?
Black Mamba: Not quite.
Sushi chef: Not friend?
Black Mamba: I never met him.
Sushi chef: Never? Who is he may I ask?

Imagination: Locomotion Photograph 01
original plate from Eadweard Muybridge, THe HUman and Animal Locomotion Photographs which Renée Rossouw featured in a post a while ago. when i saw that 16 frames the urge to turn it into a .gif was unstoppable.
anyone know where i can get hold of the original book, a .pdf copy or a .gif of kylie doing the locomotion?
Imagination: Desktop musing 02
NOTE: i can't seem to find where i got this image so i can't give proper credit. to the person who took this - if you're pissed i'll make it up by emailing you a highfive.

Recommendation: Letter to Jane
I've been mesmerized by the content of Letter to Jane, a multimedia publication operating out of Portland, Oregan. The project is headed by Timothy Paul Moore who contributes most of the content together with an array of interesting artists.
The first issue covers interviews with bands and artists the likes of Passion Pit, Metronomy, Yoko Ono, The Morning Benders, Au Revoir Simone; a photo story by Mr. Moore and Hedi Slimane called American Youth (Hedi's latest shoot with Georgia May Jagger here), a very interesting article covering a discovery of a box of unknown slides and so much more. enough to make any chilled night at home an entertaining one.
The publication is available for download in .pdf format here (small donations are encouraged), also available for online viewing, for sale on the itunes store and a printed version (which i'm super amped to get my hands on).
enjoy!

Ears: Oh Land
Oh Land from Denmark is my favourite band at the moment. be sure to check out these two tracks, the epic rooftop live performance and the awesomely eerie "Wolf & I" on their myspace page.
